Casablanca Jedai

I am always bringing up stupid ideas. Coming to Morocco the most rainy year is one of them. Doing it on a old preowned bike I do not know well is another one. As the bikers know, a bike is like a woman. If you both go on holydays and you do not know her attitude, the romance can be ending up in the mud.

In tarifa they said to me that I had to leave that night or I world probable stay in land the whole weekend. The storm was coming. The 8 pm boat didn’t leave, but the 9 pm one did. We arrived in Tanger at 10. The paperwork took almost 40 minutes. I guess it lasted so long because I didn´t pay any local fixer.

Tánger was a lake in the morning. Water everywhere, and the bike soon started making problems. The water came in the spark plugs. The engine stopped and the we were really wet. I managed to dry one spark plug and one cylinder worked, enough to arrive Larache, 16 miles awasy.

The local mechanics did their best and we put a piece of rubber acting as a condom. We were ready to drink gallons of water. We had to go on the motorway because the highway was cut because the floods. The local drivers are killers. Fuck them all. At last we arrived to Casablanca. I am sad to say, but the film is just a tale. There is nothing else but chaos and rubbish. Ingrid Bergman took her plane too long ago.

But there are also reasons for the mandes of this old Jedai, as having at the back a wonderful rainbow. Maybe tomorrow we will find the treasure at the end of it.

Salud.
Take care.
